The Truth About World Wide Dream Builders (WWDB)

There are plenty of websites, blogs, TV spots, and books talking about the "Truth Behind Amway", so I will leave that alone. I will only say that I believe the original, core concept and idea behind Amway was great, and still is great if you stick to it - sell quality products for a profit and teach others how they can do the same. However, the entire corporation has become so bloated and greedy that I believe the core values are just monikers for recruiting now.

The REAL culprits behind most "truth about Amway" stories are the distribution networks. These include WWDB, Network21, INA, and more. These groups all have their own..issues, but I will be focusing this particular blog on WWDB. Why? Because I happen to have inside, personal experience with this group.

Before going into the details, I want to introduce a few key players in the WWDB world.

Ron & Georgia Lee Puryear: Originally a star in Bill Britt's organization, Britt Worldwide. With the help of Bill, he created WWDB. Built a huge mansion in Seattle dubbed "The Amway House."

Brad & Julie Duncan: Probably the biggest stars in WWDB today, Brad and Julie are "livin' the dream" in a huge estate and mansion in Spokane, claiming (probably truthfully) to have millions, and surprising each other with one expensive car after another. Brad also claims to have more the 250,000 in his downline, and makes claims that anyone can be retired within 1 year of working the Amway business.

Greg & Laurie Duncan: Greg is Brad Duncan's brother, who (as legend has it) drug his brother from Montana to Seattle to build the business..and they lived happily ever after. Except for the fact that Greg, then a superstar Diamond in the organization, filed for bankruptcy in early 2008.

Dave & Jan Severn: Executive Diamonds under Ron and Georgia Lee Pruyear, also associated with Bill Britt's organization (BWW.)

 These players are just a few of the big dogs in WWDB. There will probably be others mentioned, but an interesting fact to note is how everything seems to overlap and connect. They say "follow the money", but it's clear that World Wide Dream Builders works hard to make that difficult.

One thing, however, is very clear: these people who have formed WWDB have been at this game a long time, and have followed Amway through it's renaming (to Quixtar after an ugly lawsuit gave them some bad publicity) and the re-renaming (back to Amway after Quixtar underwent MANY lawsuits.) They have each been named in lawsuits themselves, and they ALL have made quite a bit of money in Amway, and much, much more on tools and seminars.
